white dental studio whats newIn May I was back in Kansas City for my 10-year dental school reunion and the Midwest Dental Conference. It’s a large conference with some amazing educators and presentations. I enjoyed learning some of the latest trends in dental materials used for successful treatment outcomes without increasing costs or time in the office for patients.

So what’s new that we will have the opportunity to provide our patients? I’ll share a few:

What’s New at White Dental Studio

  • Faster setting impression materials (gone are the days of waiting five minutes for a mouthful of putty to set). Labs which can take and scan that highly accurate impression in order to build restorations without ever having to make models, waste extra plastics, and create more waste. The process is streamlined and we can return a high quality product faster.
  • Improved materials to restore teeth. We are entering an era where simply fixing the tooth isn’t the only solution we can provide. Bioactive materials, which have been around for many years, have begun meeting or exceeding the quality of fit, finish, and useful life of more ‘traditional’ materials. Why is this exciting? Bioactive materials are designed to seal microgaps and stimulate tooth reformation.
  • We are also bringing back to our Facebook page the “Tooth Tip Tuesday” series where the team and I bring a useful dental tip you can apply to your daily routine or keep in your pocket for a dental emergency. Check out our Facebook page to catch our next tip (facebook.com/mywhitedental).
  • Erin, our new office manager! We are fortunate to have her expertise with scheduling and insurance coordination. Erin brings 16 years of dental experience to our team and is committed to helping our patients’ have an ideal experience in our office.

We may be a small, growing practice but our goal is to provide an abundance of experience, a willingness to educate, and an environment that is comfortable for all.
