Sealants

Sealants are like a rain coat for your teeth. When deemed necessary, Dr. White and his assistants will clean and roughen the deep grooves and pits in your teeth and then apply a thin, white filling material to prevent decay. Sealants are often thought of for children only, but many times a small area of concern can be sealed on adults and the expense of a filling can be prevented. To place a sealant, 5-7 minutes per tooth is necessary and it requires no anesthetic (numbing).
